This pizza is topped with banana, maple syrup, and walnuts and is an absolute treat. Served hot from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream this will be one of the best desserts you will ever make...guaranteed!

Prep time:   15 minutes
Cook time:   15 minutes
Servings:   8 people

Ingredients:
Basic Pizza Dough
4 bananas
1/4 cup roughly chopped walnuts
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
icing sugar and vanilla ice cream to serve

Directions:
Make up the basic pizza dough and press dough into your pizza pan (30cm).
Combine maple syrup with walnuts, butter and 2 mashed bananas. Spread mixture over pizza base.
Cut 2 remaining bananas into thin slices and decorate over the top of pizza.
Cook until golden brown, about 15 minutes at 200°C.
Sprinkle with icing sugar, cut with your pizza cutter and top each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

*Note: walnuts and maple syrup are a match made in heaven but not everyone likes the walnut flavour. The walnuts can be replaced with another nut such as macadamia nuts.

I made the base in my bread maker and replaced the walnuts with dollops of hazelnut spread and Raspberry Sauce.
      Delicious.
