How long does the account activation process take?
After signing up, you should receive the account activation e-mail within minutes. Follow the instructions on the email.
I didn't recieve my account activation email.
If you didn't receive any e-mail after requesting your account info you can try requesting it again on the Login Help page, but in 99% of the cases your ISP, your company and their "spam" filters or policies are to blame. If you're not getting our e-mails please contact your ISP or the IT department at your company to fix the issue and have your account info sent again, or if it's not possible, Contact Us.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
You can retrieve your username and password by typing your e-mail address on the Login Help page. After submitting the form you should receive your username and password in an email within minutes.
How do I change my username or password?
It is easy to change your username and password, just Log in to your account and then click on Edit your details. You will need to type the new password twice.
Photos, Recipes and Articles
Can anyone share photos, recipes and articles? How do I add my photos etc?
You must be logged in, go to your Acount Homepage, and click on the Add new photo button (or Add new recipe, or Add new article). If you are not a member of our community then Sign Up first.
I submitted a photo, article or recipe but it's not appearing on KiwiWise.co.nz..why?
We always endeavour to get your submitted items online as soon as possible, however each article, photo and recipe must first be checked by our staff. Please be patient as this could take up to several weeks. You can see all the submitted items on your Account Homepage and their status. Status Accepted means that your item has been approved by our staff and appears on KiwiWise.co.nz. Status Pending means that your item is waiting to be reviewed by our staff. If you can no longer see your photo, article or recipe on your account homepage that means that it was deemed as not appropriate for KiwiWise.co.nz.
Why did my photo, recipe or article get rejected?
We are not a fussy bunch here but there could be several reasons for photos, recipes and articles being rejected.
Items will be rejected if they contain unsuitable material i.e adult/ offensive/ violent material.
Photos may be rejected if they are too dark or badly lit, have excessive blur, noise or poor quality.
Can I use the stock photos on your site for ...this? Are the photos really free to use?
Yes the photos are free! You can use the photos for almost anything but of course there are some restrictions. Please read the Image License Agreement to learn the full details.
How do I rate a photos, recipes and articles?
Click on the write your own review button and then click on the number of stars you wish to give it. One star is the lowest rating and ten stars is the best. Then type in your review, it can be a long or as short as you like. Once you have reviewed a photo etc the write your own review button will disappear.
Can I comment on photos, recipes and articles?
OF COURSE just click on the "write your own review".
