  • The Beautiful Village Of Geraldine
    Submitted by Dave on 1247059831
0Geraldine Village, rated as "New Zealand's most beautiful town" and it's not hard to see why! We found this sub-alpine village has more than meets the eye. Highly recommended on our must see list when you visit or stay is the new 1066 Medieval Puzzle World, the Giant Jersey and Allison Art all found on Wilson Street. Kiwi Country complex and the "Four peaks plaza", which includes a boutique cheese factory, an Alpaca shop, Barker’s tasty conserves, sauces & beverages for which the village is well known, and of course the famous Berry Barn Bakery.

  • Wharariki Beach Golden Bay
    Submitted by chasann on 1262751039
0After repeated comments from many folk that we should go to this beach just down the road from Farewell Spit we finally did it. The wind was strong so we changed our car park thus affording us a little shelter as we exited the car and wondered about the wisdom of our decision before embarking on the 15 minute walk to get to the beach. The car park was almost full and a few vans were in the overflow car park so assumed all must be well and off we went. Once on the other side of the hill the walk was pleasant, no wind at all which lulled us into a false sense of security. On exiting the cover of some trees and the hill, the full force of the wind took us by surprise as did the beauty of the beach below which was a visual feast.

  • Hope Villa Aptly Named as a Romantic Haven After Earthquake
    Submitted by wordofmouth on 1301567252
0This was the most relaxing, cathartic and re-energising but surreal holiday ever, after a devastating earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand. We are shading ourselves from the scorching sun under the terracotta tile-roof summer house at a stunning plush luxury lodge - Hope Villa - 20 minutes south east of Christchurch international airport.

  • Cloud 9: One Step Away From Heaven
    Submitted by wordofmouth on 1306372498
0I could hear the waves below washing over the golden sands along Long Beach, massaging my mind and soul. This was heaven in northern sub-tropical New Zealand. It’s a warm night; the French doors at my $1750 a night Cloud 9 luxury hideaway are wide open. The moonlight dances across the Pacific Ocean in the bay.
