Ohope is forever changing, but in the 11 years that I have been camping at the Ohope Top 10 Holiday park, I have never seen the beach look like the photo. At low tide there was still water on the beach, the water was making a channel through the middle of the beach, it was really strange and interesting. By the end of our 11 day stay at the camping ground the beach had changed again and was back to normal, no channel of water through the middle. Strange!!!! There was one great thing which came out of this strange happening, and that was it made for great photos.
