St Mary's Church, Hokitika's third Roman Catholic church, was designed by Greymouth Architect Mr Watson. The brick and concrete work was done by Luttrell Bros. of Christchurch. Although Mr Watson's original visions for the facade was scaled down, the quality of the design and workmanship of the finished building, and it's later refurbishment, made it an outstanding landmark gift to a small town.
