Comments / Reviews of Te Papa Museum of New Zealand
Te Papa is an awesome venue for children and adults alike. There is plenty to see & do and frequently new exhibitions to enjoy. It's wonderful that is free to enter & you can see & do so much without having to pay. It's a must do when in wellington.
I have been a few times and I have enjoyed myself every time. The last time paid $15 for an exhibition that I only spent 10 minutes in but apart from that I have no complaints. There is so much to do, I could spend hours in there.
This amazing museum is free and you would have to be very stange to not find something in the many floors that interested you!! Exhibitions are often changing. Recommended
I have been to Te Papa three times now and still find myself "losing" a few hours in there. With chaging exhibitions and many interactive displays, it is still worth going even if you have visited before. The standard of the displays and imaginative ways they are put together is amazing. Certainly not the boring museum I had to visit as a kid!
Our family visits Te Papa every time we're in Wellington. The best museum in New Zealand. It's very modern museum with lots of interactive displays that are entertaining for young and old. No dust gathering on displays here that's for sure. Entry is free so value for money is outstanding. Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours at Te Papa.
I went to Te Papa to check out the Lord of Rings exhibition which was great, the detail on the costumes was amazing. I'm not usually a fan of museums but there was plenty of interesting NZ history there to look at. 10/10 for the Lord of the Rings exhibition (hopefully they bring it back). Overall - 7/10.
