Te Aroha Mineral Pools are New Zealand's original thermal mineral pools and the world's only naturally flowing hot Soda Spa pools. Situated on the foothills of the magnificent Mount Te Aroha and nestled among vibrant ferns and spectacular native bush in a charming Edwardian style Domain, the pools have long been revered for their relaxing nature and soothing properties.

As you enter the Domain ground take a few minutes to marvel at the world's only hot Soda Water geyser. Spouting around 4 metres into the air every 40 minutes, this geyser is a spectacular reminder of the unique and natural source of health giving water that extends deep below the forested mountain.

With Wyborn's three separate outdoor pools there's plenty of ways to have fun in the sun (or if it's raining, it's even better). Sit back and soak up the natural ambience in the adults only outdoor spa. Take the plunge and cool off in the 20 metre tepid pool, play with the water toys or exercise at your own pace.

Sit and watch the younger children play to their heart's content in the heated paddling pool. Take a snack in either the cafe or nearby restaurants or simply sunbathe on the terraced viewing areas. Then prepare to be captivated by the most breath-taking sunset and where better to watch it than the inviting waters of the outdoor spa.

You may choose from a range of pools in a variety of modern or Edwardian private bath houses with luxurious en suite facilities. This is one of New Zealand's leading private mineral water bathing facilities. Our mineral water is crystal clear and sulphur free. The water is high in silica and feels so smooth and slippery but not greasy.

Step into one of our eight private spas and recline into your own hot Soda Spring spa sourced straight from the Mokena natural spring. Relax in the still water or push a button for a stimulating aqua massage as powerful air jets bubble the water.

Enjoy our Aromatherapy Baths. Essential oils promote a feeling of well being and relaxation and are also beneficial to your body by absorption through the skin. There are many different essential oil choices, from frangipani to blends of macademia and kukui nut oils.
