Seriously though, we are a contemporary Mexican themed restaurant that aims to cater for a previously undeveloped market in New Zealand. Our maxim is genuine fresh Mex and as such our emphasis tends to be less on fried food and more on fresh green vegetables, well chosen cuts of meat, poultry and seafood, accompanied with inventive chilli and herb flavours. We strive to provide an authentic take on Mexican cuisine influenced by seasonal Kiwi produce. We are committed to providing quality service and food with no short cuts or compromises; so the majority of our products are made daily in-house.

Our bar stocks the most extensive range of tequilas in New Zealand; we are able to offer great value in our tasting flights of tequila, along with a unique experience. The Flying Burrito Brothers cocktail list predominates in takes on the Margarita, but also has many fruit based cocktails; many of which have been created by our own highly skilled bar tending brothers. The wine list is predominantly New Zealand, Spanish, and South American with the occasional Mexican wine making an appearance. Emphasis is on high acid wines; fruity and herbaceous crisp whites and smooth supple berry flavoured reds with little tannin; these wines are ideally paired with the rich and extroverted spices inherent to Mexican cuisine. If Margaritas or wine are not quite what you are after then we also have an extensive range of ice cold Mexican beers available that go down extremely well with our style of food.
