Escape the crowds, while you kayak down the beautiful Motueka River in comfortable open inflatable kayaks and experience spectacular scenery and fun.

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive to our Riverside put in, where Motueka River Kayaks gear you up, cover river safety instructions and launch their comfortable kayaks. They then guide you downstream navigating exciting rapids, stopping for photographs and a swim in their beautiful secret swimming holes. For the more adventurous, the local guides will show you their favourite surfing spots.

At the end of your journey, relax and enjoy the countryside and refreshments back at our secluded river base.

Motueka Inflatable Kayaks can be reached through the inland approach to Motueka, along the Motueka Valley Highway in Nelson. Alternatively, there is free transport available at the Motueka Info Centre at 8:15am daily and at 1:30pm daily.

Motueka River Kayaks specialize in small groups, half day, full day and twilight canoe trips. Designer trips also available on request.
