Waitomo experience away from everybody else! You set the pace and decide what you do - apart from your guide it's just you and those you bring with you!
We have a kilometer of well decorated cave to explore, with numerous glowworm colonies and seven entrances, abseil sites from 10m to 30m high, and a rock climbing area with a selection of easy to intermediate climbs. All set in a native bush filled gorge.
Our adventures are "dry" so we wear comfortable polypropylene thermals and fleece. We usually even keep our feet dry, although in winter the water tends to be higher so you may get wet to mid-thigh.
Because there is more to do here than most can fit into a full day, and we run personal, customized adventures, we can cater for anybody - families, photographers and full-on adventurers.
If you want to stay away from overly commercial operations, big groups and bus tours, don't need footpaths and handrails, and would like to bring your camera and take some photo's, then Green Glow eco-adventures might be what you are looking for.
All clothing and equipment supplied.
Allow up to six hours.

This is by far the BEST caving tour in Waitomo. Ok, this is the only tour I've been on, but I can't imagine any tour getting better than this one!
Paul was very knowledge (he's also a geologist), so was able to explain all about the different layers of stone, the different types of stalagmites and stalactites, the clam shell fossils, and how the caves were formed. He was also funny, and very patient when I was holding up the group.
It was my husbands and my first time abseiling, and Paul made sure we were comfortable with the proper techniques before trying it for real. The caves were gorgeous! The glow worms are simply amazing. Paul is also a very knowledgable photographer and helped me choose the right settings on my DSLR to get some once-in-a-lifetime pictures.
This was by far our favorite tour we took while visiting New Zealand!!!
