Took a tour with FAREWELL SPIT NATURE EXPERIENCES out to Farewell Spit. WOW. Have lived in Nelson almost 20 years and flown over the spit many times and seen the buses going out when visiting Golden Bay.
Must say now I have finally done a trip I am really glad i did, the scenery, wild life and whole experience was fantastic.
Chris was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable, not to mention a great host at the light house when we stopped for lunch and coffee.
Saw lots of birds and even a katipo spider - NZ's only poisonous spider, have read about these and seen them in resin but never a real one in the wild.

All in all I would highly recommend the farewell Spit and expecially this company to anyone spending time in Nelson.
