Akaroa Harbour Cruises operates daily 2-hour scenic cruises exploring the beautiful, sheltered harbour. You'll experience a rich variety of marine life including the unique and playful Hector's Dolphin and the rare Little Blue Penguin. The seascape is dominated by towering volcanic cliffs teeming with marine birdlife. It's all at Akaroa which is just 80 minutes drive from Christchurch in New Zealand's South Island.

Akaroa Harbour Cruises, operated by Black Cat Group, was launched in 1985 and lays claim to being the first true eco-tourism operator in New Zealand. Nearly 300,000 people have taken a sightseeing cruise with the company since its launch.
