Adventure South operates a range of guided cycling tours and hiking vacations for all abilities which explore New Zealand's stunning South Island plus exciting activity based soft adventure holidays.

Our Recreational Cycle tours of New Zealand allow you to do some great bicycling with a series of three connecting trips. These tours follow the philosophy of "Cycling the Best and Driving the Rest", on some days it is not possible to cycle the whole route between lodgings. The guides can adapt the tour to allow strong riders to cover more ground while more relaxed cyclists get to average from 50 - 70kms plus (30 - 45 miles) daily using the support vehicle.

On our Seriously Cycling tours of New Zealand, strong riders can challenge themselves by cycling the whole route from start to finish. Recreational cyclists can still enjoy these tours as the support vehicle is used to transport riders to the best cycling sections. Riders of all fitness levels can enjoy these two tours which connect to form a three week journey providing the best of New Zealand's South Island.

Our five Rail Trail Tours tours travel through historic and scenic countryside on cycle trails based on disused railway lines. With easy gradient cycling, character lodgings these tours are suitable for all level of cyclists. Based in the spectacular Maniototo region The Otago Rail Trail is a journey into New Zealand's past.

Our New Zealand hiking tours are based around the Southern Alps with a variety of day hikes, half day hikes and some overnight alpine stays on the Southern Alps Treks tour. Exciting mountain flights and jet boat rides make these holidays a montage of awesome memories. We have searched New Zealand's South Island for exciting and beautiful terrain to create unforgettable walking vacations and trekking holidays. With our extensive local knowledge we take you to the hidden secrets of the South Island, as we visit the best of the regions walking tracks offering full days of mountain and coastal walking with comfortable vehicle travel in-between.
